Shorefront Park and the Patchogue Village Band Shell are located on Smith Street at the south end of Rider Avenue, Patchogue, New York.〔(Google Maps (Smith Street & Rider Avenue) )〕 The Shorefront Park was designed that it may facilitate and play host to a variety of Outdoor events. Come late Spring the warmer season brings concerts, plays, boat racing, Battle on the Bay, carnivals, fairs, cultural events, sporting games and the 4th of July fireworks display. These events run most of the summer and beyond. Many of the town and village residents enjoy jogging or bicycling along its winding pathways on the Park's shores. Located on the Patchogue Bay, Shorefront Park offers a restful place to stop and sit on its park benches and enjoy the spectacular views of the Great South Bay. Since 2007 the The Park has undergone updates by the Village of Patchogue. There has been replacement of the older Band shell to a more contemporary style has been replaces. The new venue as been serving as the geographical host for the Great South Bay music festival,〔(Great South Bay music Festival; 2010 )〕 and other organized events. The park is surrounded by tall beach grass with a natural lake. The parks support Bay views and give visitors a tranquil presence as they walk to the adjacent Shorefront Park due south. Rider Ave. Park serves for additional parking for large seasonal events.
